Hello my lovelies! This is my first ever blog post. How exciting?! I thought I would show you my everyday make-up routine, as I love reading and also watching other people's, because I am nosy like that aha! I have seen many other people do this and it seems to go down a treat, so here it goes. Enjoy reading!
After going through my morning skincare routine (that blog post will be coming soon), I take the Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation, by Benefit, in the shade Honey. I don't think I can actually explain to you how amazing this foundation is. Not only does it cover a high percentage of blemishes, discolouration, redness, etc, but it actually brightens your face. In my opinion, it sometimes can be quite watery, but a good shake sorts that out! It blends so easily when using both a brush and your fingers (haven't tried it with a sponge yet). It stays on throughout the day and doesn't go patchy. Although I wouldn't recommend this if you have very dry skin, as it can be quite dry, but it's perfect for oily, combination or normal skin. It also comes in a variety of shades, so I am sure you'll find the shade for you! This foundation can be found in many boots stores for £25.50.
Next I take, along with everyone else on Instagram and the beauty world, the Lasting Perfection Concealer, by Collection, in the shade medium (3). You have probably heard all this before but this concealer is the bee's knees. It covers dark circles, blemishes and redness. It is definitely high coverage, but be careful not to 'cake' it on, as it may crease and form lines under your eyes. I would highly recommend this to everyone, especially with it's price tag (around £4). I apply and blend this with my fingers.
To set both the foundation and the concealer and control my oily face, I apply Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder in the shade Silky beige (005) with a big Eco Tools brush. This powder does exactly what it says on the tin. It controls shine and help minimise the appearance of pores for up to 5 hours. I do, on long days, have to touch it up, which is fine, as it is easy to carry around and quick to do. This powder is easy to find and cheap to purchase, in my opinion. It is around £4. I do apologise for the smashed lid. It happened on my way back from Greece.
My next step is to contour, highlight and blush my face and for this I use Sleek's face form palette in light. The brushes I use are 3 brushes from a Cath Kidston set. This palette is not only amazing and very pigmented but it is highly useful as all 3 products are together with a one big mirror. The bronzer is perfect for my skin tone and it is also matte, which is a bonus, in my opinion. The blush is very pretty and has shimmers of gold throughout. And finally, the highlighter is again very pretty and perfect for your cheek and brow bones. This palette can be found in Superdrug for around £10.
After that, I curl my eyelashes with my eyelash curler from Primark and then apply the Volume Million Lashes in extra-black by L'Oreal. It doesn't clump my eyelashes and it doesn't make them look like spiders legs, which is great! It makes my very sparse eyelashes look voluminous and long! It is definitely worth its price tag of £10.99.
Left: Rimmel Kate Moss- Right: MUA
My two favourite lipsticks are Rimmel's Kate Moss Matte lipstick in the shade soft pink and MUA's lipstick in the shade 16. They are both super pigmented and last a very long time. They both feel very soft on the lips and go on very smoothly. MUA lipsticks are just £1 from Superdrug and Rimmel lipsticks are widely available and are around £4-£6. If I don't wear a lipstick, then I'll use my rosy lips Vaseline. I have used Vaseline most of my life and it is an all time favourite of mine. This particular one also smells great and gently tints your lips, which is rather lovely!
And thats it! You've made to the end aha! Thanks for reading. If you have any questions or request then feel free to comment or contact me. I hope you liked this post and I'll try to post sometime this week or next week. Love ya'll!
